An extreme ski boot for expeditions and skiing in extremely cold weather.

A comfortable and very warm ski boot that is perfect for the adventurer who will not let extreme cold put a stop to their expedition. The boot features a water repellent Cordura upper with exterior leather reinforcements for added protection and support. The midsole has been manufactured with special rubber that allows it to withstand extreme conditions without cracking. This model is built around a total concept for footwear at low temperatures. The concept consists of a thin polypropylene/nylon sock over the foot, then a vapor barrier or vapor tight sock and finally a wool inner boot or two pairs of polar socks. Wool inner boots and polar socks are purchased separately. We recommend buying the boot 2 sizes larger than normal.

Made by Intuition Liners for Alfa, these are an extremely soft, comfortable and light weight removable EVA inner boot.

Designed to be used in conjunction with the ALFA Polar APS and the ALFA Polar Advanced Boots, for cold weather expeditions.

This light weight liner offers 100% waterproofness, keeping your feet dry in all conditions.  The shaft height supports the shell and provides additional stability.

Alfa Polar A/P/S Expedition Ski Boot

An extremely comfortable and warm BC-boot with an integrated gaiter that is reinforced with Kevlar on exposed areas. The boot has been developed specifically for expeditions and long journeys on skis in extremely cold conditions. Polar A/P/S also has a specially developed last that ensures you have room for liner or wool inner boots and if necessary vapour barrier socks. It also has extra insulation within the sole and liner. The boot has been used on a wide range of expeditions, both to the North and South Poles, however, it is also suitable for simpler expeditions in cold conditions. Liners or wool inner boots and vapour barrier socks are purchased separately. We recommend buying the boot 2 sizes larger than normal for use during extreme conditions.

BC SOLE

Rottefella BC sole provides optimum stability, which contributes to good control in rough terrain and in variable snow conditions. The sole has good insulation properties.

STANDARD L-BOARD

A moisture absorbing insole with insulating properties to keep your feet dry and warm.

INSULATOR INSOLE

An anatomically designed insole made from insulating felt as well as breathable materials with good absorbency that keep your feet warm and dry. The sole has an antibacterial surface that helps prevent odours.

Fit & Support

EXPEDITION FIT

A specially developed fit that provides enough space for wool inner boots or two pairs of polar socks.

COMBO LACING SYSTEM

A lacing system that combines open and lockable hooks. Allows for individual adjustment of the ankle and forefoot.

INTERNAL HEEL COUNTER

Heel reinforcements made of plastic that provide better support. An ergonomic and stable heel cap locks the foot in the boot, anchors it to the midsole and reduces the risk of blisters.

TOE PROTECTOR

A rubber-coated reinforcement that protects the boot from abrasion.

SNOW CRUST PROTECTOR

Extra layers of full grain leather that protect the lower part of the boot, which is particularly prone to wear, especially in snow with an ice crust.
